Description
The Cropland Data Layer (CDL) is an annual public categorical raster product from the United States Department of Agriculture National Agricultural Statistics Service (USDA NASS). It represents crop and other land-cover categories at pixel level across the United States. This collection contains one single-band GeoTIFF for each year from 2008 through 2025; every file has 30 m spatial resolution and uses NAD83 / Conus Albers (EPSG:5070). Values are class codes rather than continuous measurements; code 0 denotes background or no data. CDL methodology and inputs vary by year, so accuracy and classifier details must be taken from the metadata of the corresponding annual release instead of being assumed uniform across the time series.
